Cooking odors

| Hope someone has some suggestions. I live on the top floor of an apartment complex. The guys below me cook EVERY night and they use garlic like you would not believe. It smells like they are frying it. They often start cooking at 9 or 10 at night, and the smell will wake me up out of a sound sleep.
Is there anything I can use to help absorb the odors? I burn scented candles all the time, but even that isn't helping much. |

| Don't think there's much you can do as far as covering it up. Perhaps one of those air purifing machines but those tend to be expensive I think. Talk to your management office. Everyone in our building recently got a memo from our office reminding us that keeping noise AND the noise of guests was the tenants responsibility because of the complaints about several apartments lately (our upstairs neighbor being one of those problems). But the clause they quoted from the lease also included strong odors. If it's enough to be disruptive to your life, then they need to be told to stop or at least scale it back. |
