Party hosting ideas

Hi all,
I’m looking to host an at home party where you buy stuff. Many of my friends have thrown parties and I am looking to throw one but it has to be something different.
So far I have been to Pampered Chef, Longaberger, sex toy, tupperware, candle, wine tasting, psychic, and tastefully simple parties.
What I’m looking for is a party that sells an assortment of home goods.
Any other party suggestions would be well appreciated.
BTWI was going to post this on the "get-togethers" forum but it is a paid posting forum and I am not a paid subscriber.
Thanks in advance!

Why do you HAVE to be selling something? Just have the girls over for a get together and some board games. We do this all the time, sometimes once a month at each others' houses, this way you don't have the pressure of feeling guilty to purchase something. Not everyone has the extra $.

I personally don't care to get involved with this type of party, but some people do. And for some, it becomes a source of the host's income. Not all people may care to come to these parties, but there are those who do like to order from the catalog because the products may not be available anywhere else - I know I'd rather order sex toys from my friends instead of going into a store and letting a complete stranger know what I like to do in the bedroom - okay, that part is a little sarcastic. But the fact is, some people like these, some don't. Let's not judge Kam for her desire to do this sort of thing - she may have a willing audience. She is only looking for suggestions.

I recently attended a cute house party with products from Princess House. They sell kitchen and home stuff. www.princesshouse.com
