| We recently bought a pre-war apartment in NYC and are doing some renovations. The mantel on the fireplace is ornate plaster and covered with paint. We are trying to find out if we can remove the whole mantel and hope we find a brick face underneath that can be exposed, or try to remove the paint and restore the plaster. Any ideas are appreciated. |
