Bosch DW controls don't work

Hi all. Our new(2 months or so) Bosch DW is not working. When I turn the power on the "auto" cycle displays and blinks but when I try to change the cycle or turn it on it won't turn on. Any ideas? I have tried to reset it, the child lock is not on. When I first turn it on it makes a strange noise that I've never heard before. I would hate to call in a repair man but we need a functional DW!
Model # is SHE53TF5UC if that helps

Well, you can try throwing the circuit breaker - that might reset things. Why do you hate to call in a repair man? The unit is under warranty.

You have to OPEN the door to while resetting the controls. Try that.

Neither throwing the circuit breaker nor resetting with the door open worked. But I did find that the strange noise is coming from inside the filter, it sounds like water. The filter was filled with water but cleaning that out didn't do anything either

I will call Bosch in the morning and see about getting it looked at under warranty

Have you check the drain pump? Page 19 in the manual.
