| I'm going to order the 48" Culinarian, and I plan to make the back splash a tile mosaic. I'm concerned about the heat that will come up the back of the pans against the tile. Should I be? Should I order the 9" riser? I don't want to because it doesn't really fit my plans, but neither does a house fire. Thanks in advance!!!! Ryan |

| You should have no problems. I have SS back there and have yet to see it scorched. I do get splatters from cooking, but never any scorching. I have on occasion gotten a little scorching on the back vent itself though. The vent rises 3" above the surface and is 3" deep. The way it's designed, it creates a 3" buffer between your BS and the pot. The good news is I've never has any problems removing the scorching from the back vent. It usually just wipes off. |
