I have a clear ice machine (the Uline CLR2160) and it's great. It's something that I use every single day, especially since it's right in my kitchen. The only "drawback" is that it makes ice constantly so the water bill is slightly higher. However, that's exactly what makes the ice it produces so good....it never gets stale or has off odors that regular fridge ice has due to the old ice draining away and being continually replenished by new fresh ice.

Thanks for these tips. I'm not concerned about the water expense as we are on a well (with filtration tanks). I like the U-Line.
