A stainless fabricator will give you advice on repair, buffing, burnishing etc.etc.

Is this a characteristic of most SS cooktops or just JennAir?

If you were handled "roughly" would you display some dents, scratches and abrasions?

It's all in the care and feeding, the perception of value verses longevity.

My 90+yr. old mother still uses her 1945 model KIRBY vacuum.

I had a jenn-air brushed stainless gas cooktop at my last kitchen, and the best cleaner I ever used was my leftover dried up jar of metal cleaner by Amway. I just dumped the dry stuff on a wet rag, and used it. Took a lot of elbow grease! Maas Stainless products work pretty well too.

thanks for all the suggestions..But cooktop is still stained and pockmarked. Think it is inferior stainless or not at all.
I would not but another Jenn Air product nor will recommend to anyone..
When I call manufacturer ..they suggested calling local applience service..which i have to pay for..No thanks
