This is the kind of spam I like.

It provides new information relevant to the forum

Not about some knockoff product irrelevant to the forum topic.

Nor some really cheap knockoff product relevant to the topic forum being grossly overhyped as just as good or better than the real thing.

Thermamix is $1500 in Australia. How much after shipping and tarrifs in the US?

It has a built-in scale and you can use it as a steamer.

Is that worth a $1k plus premium over Vitamix or Bendtec?

Something that costs an arm and a leg.
Something that is marketed through highly restricted channels.
Something of interest, which 95% of us have never heard of or will ever see in our lifetimes.
Irrelevant, maybe or maybe not?
Spam? Don't think so.

Definitely promotion of a website/seller if not spam. I am not against Thermomix, actually have the older model (TM21), which is useful but not the be-all end-all machine it's promoted to be. Not worth upgrading to the TM31.

Interesting. Is there a Euro model using an external step up transformer or is that the one sold in Mexico?

my older TM21 is a European model and uses a step up transformer. It measures metrically in increments of 10 grams which is a nice small step. I have seen a non-metric North American TM21 and the increments were in .5 ounces (14 grams),which was too large for adding ingredients like salt by weight. Not sure if the NA TM31 does the same increments or not.

The website tells you everything but how much it cost or did I miss it somewhere.
