Help! Can I store my new Capital range in my garage?

Hi,

I purchased a new Capital 48" gas range which was supposed to be delivered in 3 months but it somehow got delivered this week! I'm in the middle of a huge reno and can't bring it into the house.

Can I store it in my garage for a few months over the winter? Or will the freezing temperature cause damage?

Help please! Have no idea what to do with it!!

What could possibly be damaged by cold temperatures? The brass orifices? Cast iron burners?

I would call the company you bought it from and ask them to start the warranty when you have it installed. Usually the warranty is ticking when you take delivery. Get it in writing.

Yes, you can store it in the garage. I suggest you cover it with something. Also when time comes to install, inspect it for critters.

I stored my CC rangetop in the garage for many months during my reno without issue. Just make sure it's protected and away from workers dragging other things through. I stored mine during summer and fall though.
