Why are there so many OP people who apparently don't ever tumble to the fact there is a link option located below corrections that they can utilize to make their text only urls much more convenient for everyone?

And it also appears when edit is selected?

They really should have a link option on the original compose screen. Just one of the many things that cripples the ease of use of this crappy outdated forum software. I don't blame the OP as I've made the same mistake myself. No need to be rude.

I'm not blaming the OP in isolation, that would be very unfair and stupid.
The software has managed to get the job done for many years, going well back into the days when the stealthy acquiring of gray market induction cooktops from places unknown was quietly bruited about.
Those were exciting times.

It does get the job done... but as a member of several different forums, I always cringe when I see how behind this one is. All the accidental double posts, "Message rejected" errors, annoying link ads within posts, no formatting toolbar, dorky mechanism for adding links, only one image allowed per post, no non-image based attachments, non-existent automated spam protection, clunky personal message system that often leaves users unable to reply... Everyone else has upgraded to modern software like Vbulletin, IP Board, etc. Even a free forum package like PHPbb or SMF would be better than this.
