Has anyone used a steam mop extension to clean their oven?

I recently received an Oreck Steam It Mop. In addition to the mop extension, it has a smaller tip extension with a microfiber cloth attachment. They state this can be used for many things including cleaning the oven. Have any of you ever used "steam" to clean your oven? If so, how did it turn out?

Several of the oven manuals state specicaly to not use a steam cleaner.

The problem is you could force steam into areas where it would not normally go.

Just consult your oven manual before using the steamer and keep it away from any electronics.

I always steam clean my oven, but it's an ancient Magic Chef with no electronics. It does a great job, but that doesn't matter if you void a warranty by doing it.

Thanks jakvis. I have a 2013 Elux Wave Touch Double Oven. I figured steam may be safer than the dreaded self-clean. I guess I will hold off on steam - definitely at least until I have time to read the manual.
