GE Cafe (like most appliances) has gotten mixed reviews.

There is no universal "best" range. You are going to need to go into much more detail about your criteria. GE Cafe gives me an idea of you're thinking of but I have no way of knowing which features you care about and which you don't.

Price range? Open/sealed burners? Control location? Convection needed? Electronic or mechanical controls? Pro handles needed? Self cleaning needed? Etc. That's the type of info we need to give a good recommendation.

As for ease of cleaning in gas vs. electric ovens, it depends on a few variables. Generally, ovens using the same cleaning technology (self clean, steam clean, or manual clean) should be similar in cleaning regardless of fuel. The other thing to consider though is whether the electric oven in question has a hidden bake element. Electric ovens with exposed bake elements can have their floors lined with foil to catch splatters/dripping/spills. You cannot do this on hidden bake electric ovens and gas ovens, so some may consider gas ovens harder to clean in that respect.
