Outdoor Freestanding Grills (FireMagic versus Alfresco)

I was wondering if anyone had opinions on these brands. I was all set to buy a top of the line FireMagic with a see through window (30"), but went to a store today that sold both and they strongly recommended the Alfresco. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

FireMagic uses surgical grade cast 316 SS for its burners unlike the standard grade sheet metal 304 SS used by Alfresco.

It is not even close. Go with FireMagic.

I agree with deeageaux on FM vs Alfresco. Although, you might also consider Lynx, which have thick heavy cast brass burners. I looked at both, and ended up choosing Lynx over Fire Magic for my own particular reasons, but I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Though I own a Lynx, I think the FM is the best all-round units out there. Its also one of the most expensive. You might look at RCS which is their less-expensive line.

Thank you very much. Very helpful. I guess I will go with Fire Magic. Was hoping you all would say the opposite because of the price difference....
