I'm looking for a gas stove. Looked up Home Depot website and saw ranges under the name "Capital", never heard of them before. If anyone is familiar with them please give your opinion. My intention is to purchase 30".

RE: Home Depot Ranges - one named Capital

I see Capital is selling their Precision line through homedepot.ca in Canada.

You can google gardenweb capital precision to see past threads on this range.

Very high quality, very good oven. I have a Capital Culinarian 36" with optional self-clean oven which uses the same oven as the Precision self-clean. Comes with a top notch broiler and motorized rotisserie capable of holding 40 lbs. Self-clean ovens also come with easy glide racks as opposed to the standard racks on the manual clean oven.

The Precision has sealed burners vs the open burners on the Culinarian. Typically, sealed burners have a wide heat pattern. Precision has a wide heat pattern relative to other sealed burners which makes it a poor choice for medium and small pots.

I would suggest you look at the Capital Culinarian instead. You can google gardenweb culinarian for more info.
