We purchased double wall ovens, model RBD305PVB02 in May, 2012. We had no reason to use the self-cleaning function until October, 2013. When the lower oven cycle was complete the door would not open and the control panel was off. The problem was that the thermofuse was blown according to the repairman sent by Whirlpool. They said that they would replace the oven after it failed two more times. Rather than risking a fire twice and loss of use of the ovens and repair expense we just replaced them with GE ovens.

It's hard to believe Whirlpool would have the same problem for six years and just keep selling it.
