Ever since we bought out electrolux refrigerator, we've had sporadic issues with the ice maker.... Freezing up, ice melting, etc.
Within the first year of purchase, a technician did a software upgrade. But over the years, the ice problems have gotten worse. The fix has usually been to turn off the ice maker and restart it the next day. But now it's just officially broken.

I've periodically reported the problems to Electrolux, but since I could temporarily fix the problems myself, I haven't had a service call. Searching online, it seems lots of people have issues with the 2010 ice maker.

I'd love feedback and advice on the best way to handle this with Electrolux. Has anyone else successfully had the ice maker fixed or replaced by Electrolux since it seems that they are aware of the defective design?
