Hi,

I would normally not attempt this; but to save $100 I'm willing to to give it a try.

One of the elements on my stove top broke. It's one of those ceramic top ranges, and the element is a ribbon filament ~1/8" wide. I know that this is a difficult fix; (I can remember my father tying them together, but they always burnt out at the joint, in no time)but I was hoping that there might be some way welding it, or using a connector to get it working again.

I appreciate any suggestions.
