Will there ever be a 36' induction range besides DIVA?

| With limited space for double wall ovens, I keep hoping to see a 36" induction range besides the DIVA, which still seems to be the only one out there. I guess it isn't very popular, either. Does anyone know whether any manufacturers are planning a 36"? |

Bertanzzoni makes a 36 inch Induction Range. I doubt it is avalailable in the US. Click the link below to see it. Good Luck! Gary |
Here is a link that might be useful: Bertanzzoni 36

Thanks, Gary. I wonder why there aren't more. I remember that people used to import the De Dietrich cooktops before there were models readily available here, so maybe an import is possible. Shipping would probably be costly, not to mention the old UL discussion about safety. Actually, the DIVA oven looks as if it is close to the floor, maybe that's one reason there aren't more of them. Thanks again. Beth |

Electrolux is coming out with new Induction Ranges, I believe I saw a post that said January. I gather you are in the US, so google "Electrolux USA" It will show a toll free number and you can call them and ask what sizes the new induction ranges will be. We love our Electrolux Induction cooktop soooooo much, that had we originally planned a range, instead of separate ovens and cooktop as we have now, I would have replanned to to dump the Non-induction range and redesigned for separate cooktop and ovens. The cooktop is just amazing, super fast, super controllable --easy to clean-(we cover it with paper towels when we cook on it--so cleane up is "Toss the Towels" We don't stir fry or Wok, but if you do, don't use the paper towels when doing that!!!! | You could use a Fagor cooktop (only 3" thick ) and any oven you wish immediately below it. The cooktops and ovens are supposed to be very good. i'm putting the Fagor cooktop on a 3" thick countertop so that I can use the cabinet's drawers underneath. |

I'll check out both of those options. Electrolux and Fagor. It seems as if the Fagor cooktop requires less clearance below than others? Is that correct? |

download the installation and OP manuals for any ovens and cooktops you are considering. That way You will have "The Real Scoop" before ya spends your hard earned cash. AJMadison usually has these manuals available for free downloading. Good Luck. Did you call Electrolux and find the size of the induction ranges they are coming out wity? Gary |

Gary, Thanks for the tip on the specs. I did call Electrolux and got someone who had no idea... As with many industries, it probably depends upon who answers the phone when you call. I also looked up the Bertazzoni you mentioned, and fell in love. They have a single oven 36" as well - if only they sold it here. As an aside, I also learned that AEG Electrolux sells their zone free induction top in Canada and will ship it here. It is UL rated, etc. Still have my heart set on that range, however. |

| FYI, Electrolux emailed me back- no plans for a 36 inch induction range. Bummer. |

| Last fall I bought a 36" De Dietrich from Salon Blue Ridge -- East Coast US. They still had several of them then. I had to move from my gorgeous Van Gogh kitchen and leave my lof-ly 30" De Dietrich. Of course I love this one even more. Timers on every zone, huge zone in the center, works like a charm! |

| Thermador also makes a 36" all induction cooktop that is meant to go over their wall oven. When I purchased my cabinets I did so with the 36" La Cornue Albertine in mind. Found out it was only 12.5" deep and cabinets had already been ordered. Decided to go with induction and found out I could still put oven underneath. This works great because then you get the oven of your dreams with the range of your dreams. Most free-standing units put all their engineering into the cooktop and the oven that comes with it ends up lacking. |
