Bluestar startup - dead range ??

When you hook up a bluestar freestanding range..and plug it in, should the electric work? Mine, nothing happens (light, fan, ignitors). We just hooked it up, it was a new range plopped into place when they sold the house. I hooked up the gas and plugged it in, but nothing. Is there a "mystery" switch somewhere? The gas works fine which I expected being it is just a bunch of valves.

No switch on my just plug it in. I think I remember it saying in the install manual NOT to put it on a ground fault plug ( you might have a ground fault breaker ) . I was cleaning mine this morning and I noticed the data tag it said 8 amps max req so it needs a very small breaker.

It is just a regular circuit w/o ground fault protection. I guess I am stumped.

Did you try plugging something else into that outlet just to make sure it's not the outlet that's "dead"?

Mystery solved...thanks for making me double check !!!! That was the first thing I did was to check the outlet with a toaster and it worked fine. When I plugged the stove in it did not work which baffled me. So then I took the rear panel off and all the connections where good there too. When double checking all this again, I accidently bumped into the stove cord and I heard the stove "start up." So, it was the outlet, it prongs were worn out and did not have enough pressure on them. When I pushed the cord in the outlet to the left and right I heard the stove start up and turn off. I will change the outlet to a new one.
