OK I'll try and bite. I don't have a bert hood, but I saw one when I was buying my bert range, they were trying to package them. I believe you should be able to DIY install it if it's anywhere near my Wolf and Viking hoods. They come with the fan system to install inside. It's pretty simple, you just kinda screw it into place inside the hood. I think an inline or an external might be a bit harder to install.
