Are 900 watts really enough for a microwave?

I'm planning to replace my old, 27" double oven with an Electrolux Wave-Touch Microwave/Convection oven and single oven. We currently use an old Sharp 1100-watt countertop microwave that works fine, but I want to retire it and reclaim the counter space.

When using the Elux as a microwave only, are there any issues with 900 watts vs. 1100 watts, other than having things take a little longer? Microwave popcorn is a requirement in this household--does it pop properly in the Elux?
