Bluestar double gas oven advice, please.

| Hi, I just posted this same request for info on the kitchen forum. Have any of you installed the Bluestar double gas ovens and if so what do you think? I am in love with the french door design and do alot of oven cooking. They need to be the gas ovens because our house is off the grid and will rely on propane for the kitchen. Any input is greatly appreciated. Kat |

KitKat_Oregon Look at American Range. I just did my research comparing both Blue Star and American Range. American Range offers a double gas oven with a French Door top oven and pull-down bottom oven. Also, double French Door! The American Range oven cavity is better (in my opinion) than the BS. I think Blue Star copied American Range. My local dealer in Seattle will be installing this model shortly. It looks great. |

| pacwest cook, thanks for the info. Please can you tell me what you liked about the AR cavity vs. the BlueStar? Also, is the American Range OK for propane? Thanks in advance. Kat |

BlueStar has a larger oven with a roll out rack, a much better broiler and a electric element (120V) around the convection fan for consistent oven temp. Also 190 free color choices and a free stacking kit for double oven installation. Plus white glove service which doubles you warranty. |

| response to pacwest cook's American vs BlueStar wall oven post and an earlier post about American Range vs BlueStar ranges It is obvious that pacwest cook's comments in both instances are simply attempts to boost American Range sales; probably by an employee in American's distribution chain. I seriously doubt that BlueStar copied the wall oven design of a much lesser player in the pro-style cooking arena. The comment about BlueStar's burners being all the same size (range comparison post) missed the point that the number and location of burner ports vary according to the BTU output of the burner, so smaller pots can be placed on lower BTU burners without the flame creeping over the sides. I'm guessing that pacwest cook will also favor us with the results of his or her "research" on various other kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, refrigeration, coffee makers, etc whenever someone inquires about any brand against which he or she competes. |

| Again, amazing! I feel as if I'm getting beat up on 'B-star thugs'. Heaven forbid I post something 'wrong' I thought this was a site to post/share opinions and gain feedback. I haven't bought a range yet and was looking into the video referenced by j99 on Trevor's site. this is leaving a bad feeling....strange |

| "So, after extensively researching both brands I'm going with American Range and ready to cook like a pro!" "My American Range 30" will be installed once my re-model is finished. I will report back once it is installed." seems quite in conflict with your statement that "I haven't bought a range yet" |
