I recently installed a 48" Bertazzoni pro series in our new build kitchen. I specifically choose this range because it was the look I wanted, in the price range I could afford.

By no means am I a high end chef. I am just a mom, with a young child who wanted the look of a range, with the flexibility of two ovens during time when we entertain family. The Bertazzoni fit my requirements and I have no issue with the size of the ovens.

I also heard many complaints about the oven size before I purchased, but everyone has different expectations and requirements, so I found a showroom that had the 48" model on display to investigate for myself. I live in central Iowa and had to drive several hours to find one on display, but planned ahead and worked it into a planned trip for another purpose. I took my large roaster and cookie sheet for perspective. When I saw it in person, the oven size was not an issue and I wouldn't have thought it was smaller, if I hadn't read about it previously. As a matter of fact, the second smaller oven was able to fit my 9x13 casserole, where it wouldn't fit in other manufacturer's second ovens that were on display.

Where I notice the size difference is in the height of the ovens. My large roaster fits fine in the oven, but I would have a difficult time putting a second tall casserole above or below it, on a separate rack. A shallow dish on a second rack fits fine.

I have been using the Berta for about three weeks now and am very happy with it. The ovens preheat quickly and hold a steady temp. We needed the LP conversion and had to make several adjustments in the beginning because the ovens were running much too hot, but after the adjustment was made, we have no problems.
