Miele dishwasher inlet/drain light stops cycle

I have recently purchased a 2nd hand Miele G 641 SCI PLUS dishwasher. The dishwasher was working okay to begin with, I rinsed out the washer arms and drain and ran a dishwasher cleaner through it. Since doing this the dishwasher fills, washes for 5 minutes, stops (full of water) and the inlet/drain light flashes continuously. Water then remains in the bottom of the dishwasher (just under the white drain handle). When I attempt to turn the dishwasher on again it drains fine and does the above cycle.
I have tried checking the water hose, cleaned the filters & arms, tried resetting the dishwasher... none of which has fixed the problem.

have you opened up the sump and checked the impeller ?

prob. a pressure switch is malfunctioning.

The good news is that the Miele people have tech's that will help you diagnose the problem - and Miele sells the parts. The tech number is: 1-800-999-1360.

In my case, they showed me how to read the fault code and reset the DW. They also reccommend what parts to be replaced if the fault reoccurs.

There is a water pressure sensor that may be faulty. I got one for about $90.
