I have the same fridge, just a month old. It's been excellent so far. But I decided to pass on the RV.

Bought their washer & dryer last year and went through the same decision. I had called into their service center and talked with their Remote Vision people -- there is a separate department. I would do that before deciding -- they can explain it fully.

They were throwing it in then with the extended warranty so it was free -- you could always ask about that too and then decide. It gives them stats but I couldn't see what it would do for me except possibly be a nuisance. But it does go into the back and it would be major to uninstall and reinstall the fridge if you change your mind.

What I did on the washer/dryer was wait until Cyber Monday to buy the warranty on those. I got 10% off. Miele allows one year to day of purchase to buy the warranty so there's no rush.

Waiting this year to buy the fridge warranty on Cyber Monday as well. It was more expensive from the dealer.

As you say, it costs enough.

I am just going to wait for Cyber Monday to buy the warranty. Speaking of Miele - you have their Washer/Dryer as well, if I am correct. Thinking of getting their washer/dryer and was wondering if the 10% also applies to buy Miele appliances.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the wild west as far as sales go. I've not heard of discounts on Miele appliances but anything is possible.

Miele doesn't sell appliances directly, only cleaning supplies and the warranties.

It certainly might merit a call to them to see if they are allowing dealers to discount for those days.
