Frigidaire Fridge LFHT2117LB7

I purchased a new Frigidaire top freezer for our cottage about a month ago. It is a very low end model without water or ice maker.
I have to turn the dial in the refrigerator almost to "coldest" to keep the refrigerator at 39 to 40 degrees. I like 35 to 37 degrees. For that, I need to put the dial all the way over to the zero degrees icon--the furthest it will go. Where do you set your dial?

The freezer has a separate dial and it is at zero when 1/2 way between start and coldest. It will cool way below zero if I go beyond the 1/2 way mark on the cold dial.

Still under warranty. Would you settle for a fridge that won't cool without the dial all the way to coldest? Would you call for service if it were yours?
