Dimensions of counter depth fridge

Just wanted to verify from the appliance experts - are most counter depth fridges the same depth?

I am recessing the fridge into a wall, and I need to make sure I can upgrade in the future as the budget allows. I don't want to be limited by the space. It won't be easy to make more space, but we can steal a little bit from the mudroom in the next room over.

With counter depth, the box is 24". The door sticks out. You won't need to recess a counter depth fridge. Just a full sized one. In fact, if you recess a counter depth fridge, most won't be able to fully open without banging the doors against the walls of the recess.

So if the box is in the wall, should that be just 24"....would more be better? I thought I read somewhere about space for venting.
