Our Maytag electric dryer we bought 2 years ago has began to make a strange sound. Its hard to explain but it makes a high pitched whistling noise at either the start of a cycle and would last for maybe 1 second or through out the cycle. Yesterday it came to 20 minutes and it did not stop. I do remember our old stove made a noise like this as well. It does NOT sound mechanical it sounds more like electrical. Does anyone know what this could be?
