Keep existing oven or upgrade?

We just moved into a different house a couple weeks ago and am just now getting to the wall oven (we have 2 kids with extreme food allergies, so I am taking my time deep-cleaning the kitchen.) I spent a couple hours washing the oven with dish soap and water and there is still some residue. I have not run the self-clean, but will probably use a bit of easy off to get the rest. So far the porcelain on the bottom of the oven seems to have worn off a bit and the glass inside the oven door has a gap on one side of an 1/8" from the frame. We are considering replacing it altogether, but I am wondering it this oven would be ok for awhile longer. It is a Jenn-Air from 1999. Would it be worth getting a service technician to come out and make sure its working properly? Or just clean if really well and use it like it is? Or consider replacing it (It's appliance tax free weekend here in Virginia!)
