Finally got Miele Speedoven installed!

It was scheduled to be delivered 7/21. It was delivered about a month ago and has been sitting as an obstacle in my kitchen since then. (Had a difficult time figuring which of the people working in my kitchen would do the cut out and the electrical...long story.) Finally, today, they came and installed it.

I tried the Master Chef mode first, baked a box of cornbread muffin. It worked well, but the mix wasn't that good. (That's why I used it, I wasn't that invested in it.)

A late dinner of Chicken Parmesan is in there now.

I'm so happy to not have to walk to the back of the house to use a microwave. (That one will go to school now.)

The drawer below and the door next to it need to be shaved down a bit. (I've got someone lined up for that.)

We started out thinking we'd get the KA built in microwave. That was the plan when we ordered cabinets.

We learned about Convection/Microwaves here and decided that with the size of the Bluestar oven, that it'd be good to get another smaller oven. We also figured we could get rid of the Breville Smart Oven too. I can't recall which of them could and couldn't be installed under countertops, but that was a consideration too.

Then we started to appreciate Miele. We were going to get the lower model, then I found out the Master Chef model had a dehydrate setting, which interested me. Not to mention, I'm not much of a cook...DH is the cook. So I decided I could think of the Speedoven as 'mine' where the Bluestar is 'his'.

Both the Bluestar and Miele have convection modes.

Beautiful! Both the oven and what I can see of your kitchen. We are getting a Miele speed oven too, but the lower model. And we're getting a BS range. We had the same thought process of realizing it'd be good to have a smaller oven to go with our 36" BS oven. I hope you have years of happiness with both your Miele and your BS!

Just to chime in to agree with the Miele speed oven installed undercounter and the BS 36" range. For us, it is the perfect combination. Truthfully, we rarely use the BS oven. We mainly use it for holidays and other big meals. The Miele speed oven fits a lot. I can get an AC three-quart sautÃÂ© pan with long handle in there. We got the lower model. I like knobs.
