Sub-zer wolf combo vs. thermador package? Help!

Trying to decide on appliances for our kitchen remodel.

I am set on a 48 all gas range- deciding between wolf and thermador. I like the 8 burner option on wolf but the overall look of the thermador and their star burners better. I'm also buying the wolf steam oven separately.

I've heard great things about the thermador columns so trying to decide between the 18/30 freezer/fridge vs. the 48" sub-z built in. The extra$ for the subzero columns arent worth it to me. I'm going with all one package vs the other due to rebates unless there is a compelling reason not to. Any suggestions???

don't get caught up in the rebate shenanigans.

Look at the total cost for exactly what you want - then compare that to one of the "packages".

Seems to me the Thermador is the one for you.
1 - you like the range better.
2 - their columns ARE nice

I cannot imagine that the Wolf deal is that much better if at all.

We just moved in and are loving our Columns. We have a 30" fridge and an 18" freezer with a custom wine rack in between (not refrigerated). Both units are BEEFY! Our 2.5 year old daughter can no longer open the door by herself which is a good thing! I can't comment about the freshness factor yet, but the storage is great and i love the lights. The 18" freezer is a little small, but its great for day to day use if you have a second freezer for storage.

We did a full kitchen (induction, Pro wall oven, Pro steam oven, hood and Dishwasher), and all seem great so far. The dishwasher is hands down the best I've ever owned (so quiet!). The induction seems very powerful, but some of the touch is a little insensitive. We have only used the steam oven three times, but I dig it so far. I need to spend some time playing with it to get my knowledge up a little, but it reheats leftovers like nobody's business which was my main reason to buy it.

Bottom line is you'll be happy with whatever you pick. They are all premium after all. Best bang for buck "package " definitely goes to Thermador. Their fridges are SO nice. I think their ranges are great but the wolf griddle is superior by far. It's too bad. If you're not worried about matching brands, you can build your own killer package. Blue star range, Thermador fridge, Miele / bosch dw... Take plenty of time and explore all options before assuming that a single brand package is the most cost effective.
