Bosch downdraft installation - help!

We're beginning construction on a new home and have planned on a Bosch 30" induction cooktop and downdraft ventiliation with a remote blower. According to the Bosch website, we also need to install a 6" transition piece, # DHZDHR6. Our builder needs to know the dimensions of the transition piece, but they're not available on the Bosch website, or any of the appliance websites. And a phone call to Bosch resulted in them saying that 'yes, you need the piece, and yes, we have no information on it!' Since I won't be taking delivery of the appliances for a few months, I'm wondering it anyone has any information on this system and what the requirements are. Thanks!
