Sounds like ice blocking air movement to fridge. You can try doing a complete defrost making sure all ice is melted.

we dont know if its inside or outside.. but the suggestion is.. to get rid of it ... as its not supposed to be there ... and its interfering with the way its all supposed to work ...

If you have another fridge, empty this one and let it sit for a few days, and check and empty the drain pan often ( when it is plugged in there is often a fan used to evaporate the water that goes into the drain pan ) When you stop seeing more water appear in the pan, you can plug it in and you are fine. If you have to keep it on, you need to take it apart - on mine, there was a back panel in the freezer with a little vent in it, when I took off the back panel, i saw a large ice formation that blocked the tube that directs cold air to the fridge compartment - I unplugged the fridge and used a hand held steamer to melt the ice, then plugged it back in.
