AR Performer Owners - Oven Door Questions

Hoping someone can comment on the exterior temperature of the oven door when baking/roasting for extended periods of time. I am debating between an AR Performer 30" and an NXR 30". AR may be slightly overkill for our needs; however, with two small children running around the hot oven doors on new NXR ranges that have recently been reported has me very concerned. We do not want wall ovens with a seperate cooktop, so finding the perfect range to meet our needs and budget is the task at hand.

When using your AR Performer for baking/roasting would you be concerned with a toddler placing their hands on the front of the door? Can anyone check the actual temp of the exterior with an IR thermometer? A new NXR owner, JWVideo will be checking the actual temp on the door of the NXR (Thanks again JWV for the great, unbiased review and your time!)
