Starting to wonder about a Culinarian

Ok, I have yet to SEE a Culinarian...not a huge deal.. but in my search, I am calling all over the place and Capital tells me the numbers of two authorized repair places around me.

I call them, they have no idea what brand I am talking about.

I call the distributor, they give me three names of outdoor grill shops that "work on the indoor ranges"

No answer on 2 out of three but the 3rd one sends me to a private contractor that "should know the range".

The closest place to "see" one of these stoves is 3-4 hours away.

Now, other than the "name brands" i.e. Wolf, Thermador, etc.. is this pretty much the "norm"?

I would figure a person that can work on a Wolf could work on a CC, right?

They are pretty simple ranges that most repairmen should be able to figure out. However it is a very niche brand and relatively new to the industry so not many have heard of it.

Oh I hear ya and, frankly.. not really that worried, just wanted to get input and talk CC.. heh. I have spoken to Trevor on the phone and via email and have really "torn into" the reviews and such online. It seems like the best fit for what I want to do.

Honestly, I love to cook, but I am not a chef. This is probably way more than I need, but I just love the look and feel of a large stove and when I cook, I always run out of room on the stove due to the large pots and pans. So..I will work this thing as much as I can and have a blast doing it. I realize it is a want and not a need and saving my pennies for it ;)

I have no doubt that if I hit a snag, all I have to do is call Trevor and he'll point me in the right direction .. heh

Still like to hear any input on where people had to go to see one and how they found or did not find a good tech person. I don't mind having to LOOK to find one, but I sure as heck do not want one learning the ropes on mine :P

(one of the places I called said they were training a new guy on stoves.. yea..)

^Nobody NEEDS a Culinarian or any of these high end ranges. You buy it because it makes cooking more fun. Anyone who cooks on even a somewhat frequent basis would appreciate one.
