Can also try Plessers in Bay Shore, that's where I bought a few of my appliances. Call ahead about built-ins; that wasn't what I was in the market for so I don't know how much they have on the floor. Also Appliance World in Huntington (and I think Oyster Bay) has a lot of higher end stuff.

If you're up for a weekend drive (perhaps trees are changing color already?), Yale Appliances in New Haven, CT is fabulous for your requirements. They will deliver to NYC area I believe.

I agree Home Appliance, they matched AJ Madison recently for a friend who was buying a lower end Whirlpool set. Pretty much everyone in this area will since AJ is local. I have bought lots of appliances from them over the years and they seem to do a nice built in business too.

People have recommended Drimmers. They will be open tomorrow. Also, for phone comparisons, a friend bought an Electrolux set from Towne Appliance in Lakeville?, NJ. I believe she saved the tax they will also be open on Sunday. Before I buy I also call Mr. Jays Outlet in Williston Park
