They all cheat on capacity measurements. That's why Consumer Reports publishes their own capacity measurements when they rate freezers and refrigerators.

I'm having trouble picturing a 5 cubic foot upright freezer. I've seen chest freezers that small but never an upright. Can you post a link?

You may call it cheating on measurements, but I call it down right lying.

However, the Summit 5 foot upright is very cute. Thank goodness for it because even though we are just a household of two, and I am not a stockpiler, we could not function with just that tiny bottom mount freezer.
