30" gas cooktop: GE Cafe or Bosch 800 series

I am interested in a quality product that works well and lasts a long time. Are there any advantages to the Bosch 800 series vs. the GE Cafe 30" gas cooktop? I am leaning toward the Bosch simply because I think it may be a better brand for gas cooktops in this price range.

As far as gas cooktops I think neither brand is superior.

The Bosch claims a 400 btu (~125 degrees) simmer which is low enough for even the most delicate French sauces in small amounts.

The GE claims 140 degree simmer. You probably want to make the most delicate French sauces in 4-6 person portions or use a heat diffuser.

The GE power burner has an extra 4k btu of power. There is not way for the Bosch to make up that extra power.
