 o
Display models?

What's a rule of thumb for floor model pricing? Are there different discounts for different appliances like fridge, ranges etc? Differient brands. What can I expect since the appliance store sales person said she will be able to show me tomorrow.
I'm looking at wolf, Viking, Thermador, SZ

Thanks:)

Discounts range from 0 to 50% off of the list price.

You can expect a 10 -25% discount form most places on most items.

This is a pure economics exercise and no one will be able to give you a more concrete rule of thumb. Make the best deal you can on the appliance you want or need, and make your choice based on that.

Just picked up a new subzero 601R and 601F for $4k for the pair. Retail for them was $11k when they came out. I also got full warranty with them.

I also picked up a Viking range (electric smooth top 30") new for $3400. It was at the distributor still crated. It retails for about $6k.

paarlberg, are you saying you got these appliances as floor models? You say the Viking was still crated, so obviously it wasn't a floor model. Where/how did you get them at these prices?

Thanks for your info!
