I typically consider a shop vac capable of picking up water or wet mess. That rules out Dustbuster type hand held vacs.

Do you make the same distinction?

Home Depot & Lowes sells small wet/dry vacs for about $25. I carry one on my truck for service calls.

We use a dustbuster in the kitchen and love it.

We use this, Home Depot for about $130 or look around on the web for lower prices.
