Costco does this from time to time. Several of us bought our NXRs last summer when Costco ran a similar discount sale. There also is a tiny bit more discount with the end-of-the-year membership rebates/rewards -- 2% with an "Executive" membership card and 5% if you use a Costco Amex card. Not much money but, if you are looking at a 30" NXR, it helps offset the cost of buying the center grate from the vendors who sell them.
