Looking at my options. How much more is a color 30 inch Culinarian versus SS? Anyone know about how much it would be? American Range appears to be nearly a grand according to AJ Madison, left me sour...

RE: Anyone know the color 'upcharge' for the Capital?

About a year ago a got two quotes for custom color on 36" CC.

One was ~$450 and they said 6-8 week lead time.

The other was $1000 and 3 month lead time.

It was pretty obvious the 2nd retailer was discourging me from getting color and wanted me to buy an in-stock range.

Why? Other than the obvious of flipping an investment there could be delays and angry phone calls from customers. "How long before I get my range" phone calls can become a real PITA for salesman. I would call/email a few retailers.
