Miele Futura Classic Door Latch

All we want a black dishwasher with a cutlery tray.

Does anyone find the Miele Futura Classic Door latch
hard to deal with ?

I was at one store and the door wouldn't latch.
I went to a second and the door needed a lot of pressure to latch.

When I just slammed the door it bounced off the seals.
I thought that was weird.

The Futura Crystal in black doesn't have cutlery tray.
If you want a cutlery tray you have to get either stainless
or you need to get one with a door insert and then you have to buy an insert. This is way out of price range.

Sigh,
Larry

The metal latch that sticks out on the top center of the door opening can be adjusted. The further out you move it, the easier it is for the door to connect to it, but can hear more water sound. As you move it further back, the door requires a small push to connect to the latch, but has a tighter seal and less noise. If you move it too far back, the door will not connect to the latch at all.

My guess is that the latch on them are not properly adjusted. I've noticed that on some display models the tension on the doors are too much, as when you open the door and push it down, it will pull back up a few inches on its own. Again, this can be adjusted.

There's a Torx screw under the latch that sticks out. You have to find the right bit size and unscrew it some, then adjust the metal latch and retighten the screw.
