Hi All,

We are seeking a large capacity (as close to 30 cubic feet as possible), free-standing, side-by-side fridge in stainless steel. We previously had a small Kitchen Aid: loved the quality, but it wasn't big enough. Our last fridge was the large (29+ cubic feet) Whirlpool Gold model. The space was good, although the stainless finish was not as nice as the Kitchen Aid. I have now looked at the Kitchen Aid (26 cf) and the Whirlpool (29+ cf), and they seem to get very mixed reviews, especially the Kitchen Aid. I am wondering if something has changed with these brands over the past several years since we last bought a fridge? Any thoughts?

I would like to avoid LG and GE due to previous poor experiences. I have heard Samsung is good, but the look is modern with a higher price tag than KA or Whirlpool. I also read some complaints about the stainless finish on the Samsung.

I welcome any suggestions.
