Anyone have a Samsung induction range?

I am looking at induction freestanding ranges. When I go to the stores to look they for the most part have one kind, or show you an electric range and say that it will be mainly like this, or just pictures on the internet. I like the pictures of the Samsungs, but am nervous to go on just pics!

I do not have one, but looked pretty hard at the Samsung NE597NOPBSR last summer when I was stove shopping. Most of the postings here have been about the previous model, the FTQ307 which has a different stove-top layout but used similar components. Have you seen these threads?

There have been some discussions of the NE59_NOPBSR line of ranges. Here are some links to GW threads.

You also might try looking at the "cookware" forum on chowhound as several posters seem to have recently purchased on the current Samung induction stoves. Here's a link to one discussion there:

RE: Anyone have a Samsung induction range?

I have one, but only because it was $500 at Lowes (discontinued). I like the way it looks, and the oven works well. The rangetop also works pretty well, but has its quirks - for instance, when I turn one of the burners on to 8, it often resets itself to 5.5. Easy enough to turn back up, but sometimes annoying. In general, I would buy it again, but might be more annoyed by its quirks if I had paid $2K.
