 o
San Diego or SoCal Appliance Stores? Thermador, Gaggenau...

Hi folks,

Can I get some recommendations of appliance stores in San Diego or SoCal? I'm redoing some areas of the house including replacing all of my appliances except for fridge. Here's a list of the appliances I'm hoping to buy from a single store and I'm hoping for a mixture of good prices, quality installation and most importantly good post-install service. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thermador
36 INCH PROFESSIONAL SERIES PRO GRAND COMMERCIAL DEPTH ALL GAS RANGE PRG366JG
http://www.thermador.com/cooking/ranges/prg366jg-36-inch-professional-series-pro-grand-commercial-depth-all-gas-range

with the following accessories:
Professional Wok Ring Accessory
Model: PWOKRINGHC

Professional Griddle Accessory
Model: PAGRIDDLE

36" Toe Kick for Pro Grand Ranges
Model: PA36JTKG

We would like to take advantage of Thermador's one, two, free promotion and upgrade the free dishwasher to the Star-Sapphire:
PROFESSIONAL HANDLE AND FULLY FLUSH STAINLESS STEEL PANEL STAR-SAPPHIRE 24 INCH 6 PROGRAMS AND 5 OPTIONS DWHD651JFP

For the microwave, we would like the Thermador microwave drawer:
24 INCH BUILT-IN MICRODRAWER MD24JS
http://www.thermador.com/cooking/microwaves/md24js-24-inch-builtin-microdrawer

As an alternative microwave drawer (depending on the look and cost), Gaggenau also has a microwave drawer based on Sharp's microdrawer like Thermador:
Microwave Drawer MW 420

Are there other 24" microwave drawers, such as Wolf, that others could recommend? We definitely want a microwave drawer, we just want to be sure the look is nice since they all seem to be made by Sharp anyway.

For the steam oven, we would like the Gaggenau 24" where the door opens from the right side:

Left-hinged
BS 471 610

Electrolux washer/dryer but I hear they might come out with a new line by end of year:

Ren-Wes Sales in Lake Forest, (Orange County) I have used them for close to 30 years.
IMO, the best there is in product knowledge, and service...

I went to Pirch and was extremely happy with the staff I interacted with when looking a couple times and when I ordered. I went to Costa Mesa, but I think they also have stores in SD. I haven't received appliances yet, so I don't have any further opinions and Miele will be delivering and installing so I won't have a lot of future contact to comment on.

Purcell-Murray in Huntington Beach are distributors for Bosch and Gaggenau. They should be able to steer you to dealers nearest to you, though it would still be up to you to research the quality of the dealers from there. It might also be worth your while to make an appointment at P-M to see everything installed, or maybe go to one of their demos.

When I bought my appliances a number of years ago, I was having a hard time getting some of the accessories I wanted, and the codes were confusing the people at the store. The P-M rep came to the store and was great help in tracking down the right pieces and getting them delivered to me.

Thank you all for the recommendations.

RenWes was recommended by my contractor. My contractor said he likes the post-install service here.

Pirch's showrooms are amazing and their sales reps are typically friendly/helpful--although some can be a bit overbearing. I've heard some negative feedback about install and post-install services but this was back when their name was Fixtures Living, about a year ago.

I've never heard of Purcell-Murray. I will have to give them a call.

Thanks again!
