This very interesting results. But seriously, who actually uses copy paper to cook with anyway? What is the logic behind this test? And what prompted you to perform it?

It is common showmanship to melt chocolate chips on a paper plate and there was a discussion earlier about a test done to compare how low you could go with the Culinarian simmer. It was compared to a Wolf AG and Dacor. I tried it with my Wolf DF exactly like the test Trevor Lawson did with the Culinarian using a circle of paper 5.5 inches in diameter. The picture above was done with a full sheet of paper which would tend to trap a little more heat accounting for a little different results than I got. My results were no marks on the regular burner and on small mark of discoloration the size of a fingernail on the simmer burner.

Good point, never even thought of it. I did see your post w/o pix so I thought I'd add them. I'll do it again with the 5.5" circle and see what the difference is. Maybe my kid can get a better pix too ":^)

I did the melt chocolate on paper plate test when I got my NXR.
Worked very well, looked just like the second photo except with melted chocolate on top.
NXR has the identical burners as the Wolf

GLB Guy, you cook with copy paper if you have induction and don't have any newspaper or paper bags or towels, and you want to fry something or do anything splashy or splattery. You put the paper all over the surface and you can throw away whatever gets gunky. Much easier, and more resource friendly (especially if you pluck the copy paper out of the recycling), than cleaning the gunk up after the fact. :)

Can't do this on gas, of course, because you can't fry on simmer, and even on simmer it looks like that paper will eventually scorch through and perhaps combust.
