Q about matching "monochromatic stainless" to other stainless

Hi there,

I am posting on this board a bunch this week since we need to make all of our appliance decisions ASAP...ack! :-) We have been struggling to pick a side-by-side, large capacity fridge with decent reviews; there are very few options since most new fridges are french door style. We think the best overall bet is the Whirlpool 30 cf side-by-side, but it only comes in a monochromatic stainless steel. Our range is going to be just one cabinet away from the fridge, and our first choice is the Electrolux slide-in induction range. (Again, there are very few choices for induction ranges, and we can't find a Whirlpool one that fits our needs. Unfortunately, Electrolux does not make a large enough side-by-side fridge for our needs.)

We are trying to figure out if the regular stainless on the Electrolux range will look funny with the monochromatic stainless of the fridge. Another option is to get an induction cooktop with a built-in Whirlpool single oven below. However, this option will likely cost more than the slide-in range; and we will lose the small, second oven that is part of the Electrolux slide-in induction range.

At appliance stores, we have not had luck seeing the Whirlpool stainless near the Electrolux stainless. In general, does monochromatic stainless look that much different than regular stainless. We are trying to figure out how important it is to match stainless, especially monochromatic vs. non-monochromatic.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Sara
