Will a 22" griddle will fit right on Elux icon pro weird grates?

I love the elux icon pro 36" range but the bizarre vertical grates really bug me! I think they are ugly and I wonder if a large griddle will fit properly on it. This is very important to us.

For that reason (and a couple of other) I'm starting to lean towards the ge monogram with its beautiful flat grates.

The E-lux range includes a reversible griddle/grill pan that fits snugly on the grates.

Have you actually researched the E-lux range?

LOL No, of course not! I have you to do the research for me. Unfortunately, you need some remedial reading comprehension since I specifically asked about a 22 inch griddle. But thanks for the try. ;)

Best of luck to you.

Will you have an island trim? If you have a specific griddle already, I would take it in and see. 22 inch griddles might vary in shape, handles or pouring spouts. If it doesn't fit front to back maybe side to side. If you hate the grates, why are your buying it?

Good point, wekick! I like everything else about the Elux, it has good reviews and track records, and the price is right. :)

My next choice would be the GE Monogram, but I've had a hard time finding recent reviews. And it's about $1,500 more.

I don't have a specific griddle in mind - just big, non coated, a grease trap sort of thing. Maybe I will buy a griddle and test it out. Thanks.
