Are Range Risers Interchangeable

Posted by otterkill (My Page) on

I'm replacing my Viking Range with a Bluestar. The Viking is set up with a riser (20"?) and a warming shelf. Can I reuse the riser and shelf on the Bluestar?

My guess is no.
On your new Bluestar the trim pieces attach to the back of the range.
So unless your Viking riser has the identical configuration of your Bluestar, which is doubtful, it won't fit.

Thanks, my backsplash behind the riser is finished. Now all I need is a shelf that is not solid to allow for air flow to the range hood that is equipped with a heat lamp. I need a 30" shelf..anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
